Senior Delegated Authority Operations Analyst

Location: London - Hybrid (3 office days)

I am currently working with an innovative and data-driven (re)insurer with strategic communication tactics that drive positive change and sustainable growth for their clients. This client is building out their Delegate Authority team and have created a new Senior Delegated Authority Operations Analyst position. This role will play a key role in the team helping to support and nurture the 2 other analysis in the team. You will be play a key role in implementing the DA strategy with a focus on servicing the Underwriting team, due diligence and audit management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Underwriters and stakeholders by ensuring due diligence and ongoing monitoring of new and existing delegated authorities (Binding Authorities, Lineslips, Consortium, and Delegated Claims Administrators).
  • Implement the audit policy and manage the annual audit program for Coverholders and DCAs.
  • Prepare governance reports and insights regarding delegated authority arrangements, discussing KPIs with Underwriting teams.
  • Administer the review process for all binding authorities, lineslips, and DCAs.
  • Produce regulatory and Lloyd's returns, ensuring actions from market reviews are embedded within the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all business units, particularly Underwriting teams.
  • Attend Delegated Underwriting Managers forums and other market seminars/workshops as needed.
  • Coordinate internal/external audit reviews and support ad hoc Delegated Authority projects.
  • Oversee outsourced resources managing Bordereaux data capture and EPI monitoring, assisting with queries as necessary.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in Delegated Authorities roles within an insurance company, ideally in the Lloyd's market.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent due diligence and investigative skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and coach junior team members.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with third-party Lloyd's management systems (e.g., DCOM, DAM, Lineage).
  • Strong Excel skills.
