Trade Finance Project Analyst - Financial Services

We are currently seeking a Trade Finance Project Analyst to join a leading financial institution in their Trade Finance Operations team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical knowledge of Trade Finance products and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse transactions across multiple entities to ensure smooth work-flows and adherence to procedures.
  • Support internal reporting requirements and risk mitigation initiatives, including KRI reporting and compliance screening.
  • Proactively develop expertise in Trade Finance processes, procedures, and system requirements.
  • Ensure accurate processing and adherence to internal and external regulatory standards.
  • Support strategic initiatives, process improvements, and project work, including mergers and system transitions.
  • Document work-flows and create written procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Trade Finance products such as Import/Export LCs, Guarantees, Collections, Discounting, Forfaiting, Confirmations, and Risk Participation's.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as UCP 600, ISP98, URDG 758, and URC 522.
  • Knowledge of financial crime prevention, including money laundering procedures, UK Proceeds of Crime Act, and sanctions policies (UK & OFAC).
  • Experience with SWIFT Alliance messaging (MT202, MT103, MT4 & MT7 series).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong documentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
