Join a dynamic and fast-paced team within a leading global broker, a leading player in the international property insurance market. They specialise in managing a diverse range of property risks, focusing on both direct and facultative placements, with a strong presence in Latin America. Their busy division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join us as an International Property Insurance Broker.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property broker to take lead on accounts with the markets. They want someone who understands the territory and the risks and be recognised and rewarded for their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a broad portfolio of property risks originating from Latin America.
- Handle a mixture of direct and facultative placements, ensuring optimal risk management solutions for clients.
- Independently negotiate and place risks with underwriters, demonstrating comprehensive market knowledge and expertise.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice and innovative solutions to meet clients' insurance needs.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting the property insurance sector.
What’s needed for me to be considered?
- Proven experience as a Property Insurance Broker, with a focus on international markets, particularly Latin America.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, efficiently managing time and resources to achieve targets.
- Strong knowledge of direct and facultative insurance placements.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Language skills in Spanish or Portuguese are a significant advantage but not essential.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, high-pressure environment and hit the ground running.
