We are seeking an experienced and motivated Placement Broker to join our Access to Resources Team (ART) within Children's Services. This role is critical to ensuring children and young people are placed in high-quality, suitable placements that meet their assessed needs and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source, negotiate, and manage placements for children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with social work teams, fostering services, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless placement process.
  • Maintain and monitor systems to track referrals, placements, moves, and endings, providing high-quality data to support service planning.
  • Negotiate costs to ensure value for money and complete placement agreements promptly.
  • Promote the use of internal resources, including Friends and Family Placements, while minimizing reliance on external placements.
  • Stay informed of legislative changes, best practices, and Ofsted guidance to maintain high standards.

About You:You'll be a highly organized individual with proven experience in a broker or similar role, ideally within children's services or social care. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a strong understanding of fostering and placement strategies.
