Project Accountant - Finance Business Partner
Global Payments financial services fintech
City of London location with 3 days a week in office
The role involves owning and modelling 15 Million of cost across multiple technology re-platforming streams to harmonize their payment platforms.
- Partner with project teams to provide financial insight and guidance (e.g. to programme directors, financial controllers by multiple regions and countries, IT developers)
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide recommendations through savvy use of Excel Financial Modelling (to build into a more operationalized view - month by month)
- Prepare and present accurate project budgets and forecasts
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and post-implementation they will bill customers/merchants
- Billing re-charges - build a new approach to different regions going forward
- Monitor project expenditure and perform variance analysis

A successful Project Finance Business Partner should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Econometrics, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of project accounting and modelling project financials
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in financial planning and analysis
- Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel
