Job title: Property Underwriting Manager
Salary: £98,000 per annumÂ
Location: London
PURPOSE OF ROLEÂ
We are partnering with a leading insurance company to find a Property Underwriting Manager to lead their Real Estate technical team, drive income and retention targets, and ensure profitability across all property lines. The role supports the Head of Property in achieving business objectives and managing key relationships both internally and externally.
DAY TO DAYÂ
- Lead and manage the Real Estate technical team
- Support the Head of Property in meeting income and profitability targets
- Provide leadership for Senior Technical and Senior Development Underwriters
- Analyse MI and pricing data, recommending strategies to increase profitability
- Support the claims function with underwriting referrals
- Produce reports for carriers and represent MGA at carrier meeting
- Identify opportunities to enhance underwriting trading processes
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners
EXPERIENCEÂ
- Strong background in Property Underwriting, ideally with management experience
- Previous experience within an MGA business is highly beneficial
SKILLSÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sales, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in IT and underwriting systems
