Your new companyYour new company is an established Lloyd's broker with direct and immediate access into Lloyd's and all of the UK's major insurers. Your new Brokers are based in the heart of the City and are experts in dealing with Wholesale lines, schemes, facilities business. They specialise in array of different areas to include Property, Liability, Commercial, PI and Motor. Their products offer unique cover and exclusive access for risks often beyond the capability of local composites. With over 600 within the group this team staff they offer years of insurance experience and specialist divisions to ensure they provide their clients with the expertise and the broking skills necessary to place difficult risks within the London Market. Due to substantial growth within their Wholesale division, a permanent position for a Account Handler has arisen.
Your new roleYour new job working as an Account Handler is an an excellent opportunity to join an established Renewals team. This is an exciting, fast paced wholesale role and a great opportunity for an experienced person to broaden their knowledge. Your new role will be handling Wholesale Commercial risks meaning you will be responsible for dealing Brokers and Agents daily handling their renewal business. You will also be dealing with intermediary, brokers and Sub agent queries on a day to basis, as well as respond promptly to intermediary queries and ensure that all communications with agents, insurers, or any other relevant business contacts are accurately recorded in writing. . You will also be responsible for giving instructions and relaying any issues to insurance providers as well as the broking departments. Maintaining and developing relationships as well as giving technical knowledge and expertise. Other duties will include the preparation of London Market documentation to include MRC slips.What you'll need to succeedYour previous experience working in the London market as a Wholesale Account Handler dealing with Commercial risks, or as a Retail Commercial Account handler who wishes to handle Wholesale risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. Ability to demonstrate a good awareness of various markets and competitors. Demonstrate initiative and be able to work without supervision whilst also working well within a team.
