Account Manager

Hard FM

East and Greater London

£70,000 + Travel

We are working with a leading national FM Service Provider to recruit a technical Account Manager to oversee the delivery of a contractor-led Hard FM service. The role is a mobile position overseeing the supply chin delivery of the PPM and statutory compliance across a portfolio of sites in London.

Financial Management:

  • To ensure effective financial management is in place to achieve revenue, profit and cash targets and to meet all internal and statutory obligations.
  • Full P&L responsibility for their contract.
  • To undertake initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their operation.
  • Review budgets with all appropriate managers to ensure effective financial management across the contracts.
  • To ensure effective billing arrangements in place with the customer to ensure cash collection for work carried out is appropriately managed.

Operational Delivery:

  • To deliver hard services across the contract; and to ensure any appropriate property management tasks (e.g. visual inspections by Regional Operations Managers) are completed effectively.
  • Maintain an operational focus on customer relationships, contract retention, service delivery, commercial performance, and processes management.
  • To manage the sub-contractor relations and delivery to ensure all tasks (both reactive and preventative) are delivered according to the commercial terms and required standard and quality.
  • Build good relationships with the clients and all other stakeholders and deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner.
  • To be aware of, and proactively manage, compliance with all statutory obligations and client/company policies.
  • Ensure all remedial works are audited and inspected to ensure compliance with contractual obligations through sub-contractors delivering a high-quality service.
  • Ensure appropriate system data management so that there is robust data integrity to effectively manage the required works and enable effective client billing.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience of managing a P&L within an outsourced contracting environment.
  • Extensive experience of service delivery through suppliers and subcontractors. Ensuring operational procedures are in place that demonstrate service delivered by supply chain
  • Experience of operating in a PFI environment and performance risk management
  • Experience of delivery of hard services in a complex outsourcing environment. This should include a good knowledge of engineering services and building fabric maintenance requirements.
  • Experience of working with a Lifecycle team and ensuring that the matrix management approach between operations and lifecycle is managed and delivers effective service delivery
  • Good stakeholder management skills and demonstrable evidence of dealing with a range of complex stakeholders
