GPN Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with this forward thinking firm based in Central London. This boutique firm of accountants punch well above their weight in terms of size of clients.The job vacancy is to manage a client portfolio consisting of Owner managed businesses and SMEs with turnovers up to £250M and manage a small team of staff. The role will be a mix of being hands on and managing, with duties to include:
  • Workload management and delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Spotting new business opportunities when speaking with clients and providing client with a solution to their needs.
  • Preparation and review of management accounts and forecasts.
  • Preparation, review and delivery of year end accounts.
  • Management and supervision of work completed by staff
  • Advisory work - Management and delivery of projects to improve processes and client experience.
  • Review practice billing and track one-off engagements through to completion and ensure they are billed.
  • Conduct periodic fee reviews of client accounts.
  • Participate in new business meetings and proposals to new clients
  • Foster collaboration with the wider team and help train direct reports on the firm’s policies, processes, and procedures.
To be considered for the role you will:
  • ACA, ACCA qualified with a UK accounting practice
  • Must be autonomous, resilient, and able to employ a logical approach to problem solving
  • Strong management skills and proven ability to manage a team.
  • Strong organisational and personal skills with foresight to plan workload well in advance.
  • A practice background & extensive knowledge of all services provided within an outsourced finance business (accounts, corp tax,personal tax, payroll, VAT and bookkeeping).
  • Ability to adapt to difficult demands, e.g. resource constraints, client issues
  • Experience of managing client portfolios with tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of the cloud accounting market and a passion for discovering and implementing new technologies.
