Accounts Payable Manager

Our client are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their dynamic team in the heart of the TV and Film industry. This role is ideal for a professional with a minimum of 3 years of solid Accounts Payable Manager experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 5, overseeing all Accounts Payable functions within the Shared Service Centre, and ensuring payments are made accurately and on time.

This is a permanent role paying between £40,000-£45,000 + bonus. It is a hybrid role (2 days a week in the office), the company provide excellent benefits such as free breakfast & lunch in the office and early finished on summer fridays.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage staff by planning Accounts Payable tasks, reviewing work product, evaluating performance, and scheduling and directing daily tasks and activities.
  • Work alongside Accounts Payable SME to establish procedures and guidelines to mitigate the risk of theft and fraud.
  • Ensure effective internal controls over Accounts Payable functions and assist team members in accomplishing department goals.
  • Ensure equal distribution of work for the Accounts Payable team and respond to internal and external requests for information and assistance.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, oversee the processing of staff expenses, and conduct aged creditor reviews.
  • Maintain approver/dispatcher table maintenance and reconcile Accounts Payable transactions.
  • Review and verify invoices, set invoices up for payment, enter and upload invoices into the SAP financial system.
  • Authorise payment runs and cultivate inclusive and respectful working relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, Accounts Payable SME, Head of Accounts Payable, and the public to exchange information and receive work direction.
  • Support with testing for projects and upgrades when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
  • Professional attitude and ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Strong customer focus and good knowledge of SAP.
  • Highly numerate and accurate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and experience working across multiple Outlook inboxes.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
