Equifind have teamed up with a great financial services firm, who are in search of an accounts payable manager, to join the business for the next 6-12 months.
We need someone who has a track record of leading the accounts payable function in addition to revamping the entire AP framework in a business. There is lots to do here with this project, so if you fancy a blended role then please read on.
Key deliverables for this accounts’ payable manager position include:
- Take full ownership of the AP function and management of the team for the business
- Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders across the business to ensure strong relationships are maintained
- Monitoring the central finance inboxes, ensuring all invoices are actioned on a timely manner, and revenue statements are forwarded to the relevant members of the team
- Review and reconciliation of invoice discrepancies
- Be a key contact for liaising with administrators on processing payments and ensuring weekly payment run deadlines are met on a timely manner
- Prepare and analyse AP reports
- Upskill and mentor team members
- Monitor the aged debt and ensure the timely payment of invoices
- Assist the wider finance team with all audit and non-audit queries
- Enhancing the accounts payable processes and controls to ensure a robust financial framework for the future
The business
A UK focussed financial services firm, with operations all over.
The business has a wide range of interests and investment strategies and is diversifying all the time. Performance has been impressive over the years and the business has been growing and involving.
You will join a medium sized finance team, that have lots of collaboration, but you’ll have full ownership of this specialised project, reporting directly into the FC. You’ll need to really investigate the current procedures in place and drive the change for the future.
You’ll be needed to improve both processes for reporting and upskilling junior team members.
The role is hybrid, and you will be expected to be in the office three days per week and there may be travel required to other offices, every few weeks.
Experience & Qualifications
- A proven AP track record with a minimum of 6 years’ experience
- Experience of working within private equity or real estate investment
- Working knowledge of multiple accounting systems -Netsuite or Yardi would be highly beneficial
- Strong excel systems experience
- Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Have strong stakeholder experience
Daily Rate/Salary
This exciting opportunity for an accounts payable manager will pay between £50k-£55k per annum, depending on your qualifications and industry experience.
We are open to looking at candidates on no more than four weeks’ notice.
