Grafton Banks Finance are collaborating with a respected charity who are located in the Hammersmith, London area. Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their finance team and support their mission during this transitional period. As the Interim Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and leading a small team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who is passionate about finance and eager to contribute to a charitable cause.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the accounts payable team to ensure efficiency and compliance with financial policies.
  • Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any queries or issues promptly.
  • Prepare and present reports on accounts payable activities to senior management.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Systems experience using  Sage, ideally Sage 50.
  • Ability to start immediately, with a start date in October.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working within the charity sector (desirable, not essential)
