We are seeking a forward-thinking Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee UK portfolio, ensure cash flow optimisation, and safeguard the financial health of the business.

This is an on site role, the team are in 4/5 days, with a fantastic team, outstanding office and free food and breakfast on site I'm not surprised!

An opportunity to take ownership of the UK's accounts receivable function, managing a dynamic team and playing a pivotal role in enhancing our Order-to-Cash (OTC) process.

Role Overview:

As the UK Accounts Receivable Manager, you will take full responsibility for the UK accounts receivable function, leading a team of three professionals. Your role will be to maximise cash receipts, minimise bad debt, and ensure the effective management of the entire Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, optimise cash flow, and enhance credit risk management. A key part of this role is fostering a culture of innovation and progression within your team.

Key Responsibilities:

Order-to-Cash (OTC) Management:

Lead the design and implementation of an efficient, "right-first-time" OTC process, challenging existing work flows and standard operating procedures.

Drive process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance team efficiency and optimise cash flow.

Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure seamless order processing and maintain a total ownership mindset throughout the OTC cycle.

Work with local and HQ stakeholders to recommend system improvements, innovations, and enhancements across Treasury & Finance.

Credit Risk & Accounts Receivable Management:

Oversee the month-end reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting alongside the Treasury Manager and Financial Accounting team.

Maximise cash collections while minimising bad debt exposure within the customer portfolio.

Regularly assess credit risk exposure, providing actionable insights and recommendations to mitigate potential risks.

Engage with Key Account teams and customers to improve efficiencies and challenge current practices within the OTC cycle.

Maintain an accurate and clean sales ledger, ensuring DSO and Net High Risk targets are met.

Oversee the internal rebate approval process to ensure timely invoice approvals and balance sheet accuracy.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, becoming a trusted business partner at all levels.

Work closely with Financial Accounting, Sales Controlling, and Key Account teams to create transparency and visibility on financial planning cycles and statutory deadlines.

Leverage data and analytic insights to drive change, influence stakeholders, and effectively communicate key messages across the business.

Qualifications:

Experience in accounts receivable or credit risk management, preferably within the FMCG or retail sector.

Sound understanding of financial accounting, reporting, and key performance metrics such as DSO and Net High Risk.
