Our client, an established hospitality group based in the West End are looking for a Finance Assistant Manager, reporting to the Group Finance Manager who will be responsible for the accounting and treasury functions of multiple developments.

This role will entail the preparation of the month end and balance reconciliations for the hospitality and investor group; accruals, prepayments, depreciation, assets acquisitions, interest and intercompany transactions; responsible for maintaining the CWIP and CAPEX trackers; the day-to-day accounting and monthly reporting; invoicing and payments; the submission of all relevant information to external auditors; preparation of monthly cash funding requests and draw notices, maintaining register of group treasury and intercompany transactions; preparation and filing of VAT returns and support external preparation for CT and any other ad hoc work in line with treasury and accounting for the entities.

The ideal candidate will be CIMA, ACA or ACCA, part-qualified or at final level. Have experience as a group accountant, in particular journal entry, balance sheet reconciliation and consolidations would be beneficial combined with technical knowledge of UK GAAP:

• Experience with VAT preparation.• Experience of managing relationships and working closely with other accounting departments an advantage.• Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and get the job done.• Continuous learner always looking to improve on the status quo.• Competent communicator of financial information.
