What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager in Operational & Product Tax, your role will involve a mixture of both compliance and advisory responsibilities. You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of operational taxes, support the management of client relationships, identify areas for service provision, and advise on innovative client propositions. Collaboration is key in this role as you'll be working with teams across the UK and globally to ensure top-notch operational tax support is provided. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in developing new client propositions by working closely with technology teams.

  • Developing and maintaining a high level of technical knowledge across operational taxes and related areas.
  • Supporting the management of client relationships and projects.
  • Identifying areas for the provision of operational tax and other services.
  • Developing and advising on cutting-edge client propositions.
  • Collaborating with teams across the UK and globally to provide high-quality operational tax support.
  • Participating in the development of new client propositions, including working with technology teams to develop new solutions.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Manager - Operational & Product Tax position will bring a wealth of skills to the table. You should have deep technical ability relating to tax or financial services, possibly backed by relevant qualifications or significant practical experience. Your background should include practical experience dealing with operational taxes within a Financial Services context. A good understanding of financial markets, participants, investors, and products is essential. Knowledge in areas such as Withholding Tax, Transaction Tax, Information Reporting (FATCA, CRS/AEOI), Qualified Intermediary or International Tax principles would be highly beneficial. Excellent project management skills are required along with enthusiasm to work with emerging technologies.

  • Deep technical ability relating to tax or financial services.
  • Practical experience dealing with operational taxes within a Financial Services context.
  • Understanding of financial markets, participants, investors, and products.
  • Knowledge of Withholding Tax, Transaction Tax, Information Reporting (FATCA, CRS/AEOI), Qualified Intermediary or International Tax principles.
  • Excellent project management, delegation/coaching and client-facing delivery skills.
  • Enthusiasm to work with emerging technologies combined with evolving tax regulations.
