This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join the Charities division of a leading Business Advisory Group. Working within a friendly and supportive team, you will manage a diverse portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients. Reporting directly to the charities partners, you will lead teams of qualified audit seniors and trainees, while playing a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to clients.

Role Overview:

What you will be doing as an Audit Assistant Manager:

  • Managing a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients with incomes ranging up to £20million in turnover.
  • Undertaking audits, internal control reviews, due diligence, and providing accounting support and advice to clients.
  • Contributing to the preparation and delivery of tenders for new work.
  • Participating in training and development programs to enhance specialist knowledge and skills in the charity sector.
  • Utilising systems such as MS Teams, Excel, Word, CCH Audit Automation, and CCH Accounts Production to deliver high-quality work.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Be ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong track record in audit and accounting practice.
  • Have experience in auditing and advising charities, or a genuine interest in the sector.
  • Possess knowledge of the Charities SORP and VAT/tax issues affecting charities (desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a friendly and ambitious mindset.
  • Be self-motivated, positive, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Display confidence and professionalism, with the ability to establish credibility at all levels and understand client needs.
