Audit Senior/Audit Assistant Manager - Hospitality ClientsAmbition is partnering with an established mid-tier firm in Central London to recruit an experienced Audit Senior/Audit Assistant Manager (1 year PQE) for their hospitality team.About the Role:You will support the audit manager and work with a diverse range of clients, from smaller owner-managed businesses to SMEs and AIM-listed companies. This role serves as a bridge between a qualified senior and an assistant manager with a portfolio. You'll gain extensive exposure akin to a junior manager, preparing you to manage your own portfolio confidently in the future.This opportunity has arisen due to the firm's growth. After a period of stabilisation, the firm has ambitious plans for next year. With a strong track record of promoting from within, you'll have ample opportunities to advance to manager and beyond.Working in a specialist hospitality team, you'll benefit from deep sector knowledge, becoming an expert in areas such as restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars, leisure, and F&B businesses.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist 2-3 audit managers with client servicing, including audit planning, onsite reviews, audit completion, and client meetings.
  • Liaise with tax and other departments.
  • Respond to client queries and requests.
  • Supervise junior audit staff and provide feedback.
  • Support managers on ad hoc projects, such as tendering for new work and sector/company research.
  • Lead and participate in non-client projects within the audit department.

Requirements:

  • ACA ICAEW, ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
  • Recent, up-to-date experience with UK GAAP/FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Experience managing multiple jobs (approximately 3-5) simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead audits from planning to completion with minimal support.
