The Role

As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will work on a variety of complex and engaging audit assignments for high-profile clients, including AIM and FTSE-listed organizations. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading pre-assignment discussions and assisting with the planning process.
  • Allocating tasks to junior team members and supervising their work.
  • Providing constructive feedback and on-the-job training to the team.
  • Ensuring audits are conducted in line with the agreed-upon plan and budget.
  • Identifying and addressing client needs efficiently, often liaising with senior management.
  • Preparing comprehensive assignment reports and resolving review points promptly.

Candidate RequirementsThis role demands a specific skill set and level of experience:

  • Essential: ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Essential: Strong experience auditing AIM or FTSE-listed clients, with a detailed understanding of compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
  • Proven ability to prepare statutory financial reports and consolidated financial statements in compliance with UK Auditing Standards and IFRS.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and managing junior staff.
  • Excellent client liaison skills, from planning to audit completion, with the ability to identify added value opportunities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ProAudit, Caseware, and QuickBooks.
