This award-winning firm who has recently been voted one of the top 100 organisations to work for, is seeking a bright individual to join their tight knit, experienced audit and accounts team.

This role is suited to somebody who has at least 12 months post qualified experience, and this is reflected in the responsibilities of the role and the salary.

Your time will be split, working on both audits and statutory accounts, but most heavily weighted towards audit. The team is seeking a qualified professional, who will demonstrate an interest in supporting the overall business, have strong communication skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data for its clients. The role

Supervising the delivery of UK statutory audits from planning to completion for a variety of clients across all sectors taking a leading role on the team and/or performing first review of work.

Preparing work on the riskiest or most complex sections of the files assigned to.

Oversight of the preparation of year-end statutory accounts under UK GAAP on occasion performing the first review.

Oversight of the preparation of Corporation Tax computations (including review of more specialist areas such as capital allowances and Research & Development tax credits)

Participate in scheduling discussions and contribute to the strategy and overall direction for the department.

Ad hoc project work

?Your role will increase with responsibility as you develop through your career. Alongside an expectation of technical knowledge, over time and depending on your rate of progress you will take on responsibility for larger clients under the supervision and direction of managers, directors and partners.

In the longer term, there is scope within the role for you to gain experience of marketing services to clients and potential clients.

Requirements

?

ACA/ACCA/CA qualified

Substantial audit experience essential or experience of dealing with complex sets of accounts. Preferable to have working knowledge of working with groups

You will have strong business focus and awareness of current affairs

Strong communication skills - verbal and written

Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

An ability to work as part of a team

You will need to be client facing

Proficient in using Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook

CCH, MyWorkpapers and Xero Workpapers experience considered beneficial.
