As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will be exposed to a wide variety of audit assignments, from listed companies to owner-managed businesses across industries such as natural resources, tech, and retail. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring work aligns with the approved plan and budget.
  • Allocate work to junior team members, provide on-the-job training, and review their work.
  • Liaise directly with senior management at client organizations, addressing queries and providing sound advice.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial reports in compliance with UK standards.
  • Offer logical solutions to problems that arise during assignments, and suggest improvements for future audits.
  • Play a key role in pre-assignment planning and discussions with the audit team.
What You'll Bring:
  • ACCA/ACA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience with external commercial auditing, particularly in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
  • Proven ability to manage statutory audits, financial reports, and internal control procedures.
  • Confidence in training and supervising junior staff while coordinating audit engagements.
  • Excellent client management skills with a focus on delivering added value.
Technical Skills:
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with audit software such as ProAudit and Caseware Working Papers.
  • Basic skills in Access and PowerPoint.
