Job Purpose
  • Overseeing audit engagements and leading onsite teams to ensure quality and timely deliver (70% of the role)
  • Preparation of accounts and tax computations (30% of the role)
  • Building strong rapport with clients to identify and resolve any queries
  • Escalating complex matters to Senior Managment team to ensure issues are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Reviewing work before passing completed file to Senior Manager
  • Providing mentorship to junior staff, offering feedback to champion skill sharing
  • Supporting Senior Management team by assisting with ad-hoc projects where required
  • Undertaking further learning opportunities to progress within the firm

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA or ACA qualified, finalist or studying
  • Proven track record of undertaking statutory audits within practice
  • Demonstrable experience in a client-facing role
  • Strong interest in audit and good understanding of best practices
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Solid understanding of Caseware and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to learn new IT skills quickly
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
