Audit Supervisor / Assistant Manager | Top 20 Accountancy Firm | Up to £60,000 DOE | London (Hybrid)

The Audit Supervisor / Assistant Manager Role

You'll be joining as an Audit Supervisor or Assistant Manager, depending on your experience, supporting the delivery of high-quality audits across a varied and interesting client base. Client include media, entertainment, retail, funds, property, hospitality, manufacturing, recruitment, lawyers, and charities. Working closely with Managers and Partners, you'll help lead audit teams on-site and remotely, review work, and play a key role in developing junior staff.

This is a firm that will support your progression - whether that's growing into a full Audit Manager role, developing specialisms, or broadening your exposure to complex clients.

The Audit Supervisor / Assistant Manager Key Responsibilities
  • Manage audits from planning through to completion, including supervising teams on-site and remotely
  • Review work papers and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
  • Help coach and mentor more junior staff and contribute to training
  • Assist in budgeting, risk assessment, and audit strategy discussions
  • Build relationships internally and externally, spotting areas to add value for clients
  • Work closely with Audit Managers and Partners to ensure seamless delivery
About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist, if near completion)
  • Strong background in external audit within a UK accountancy practice
  • Confident leading audits and supporting more junior team members
  • Organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Able to build rapport quickly with clients and team members
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of Caseware, CCH, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with HAT methodology is desirable but not essential
