Audit Manager - Primarily remote working!

Ambition is recruiting for an Audit Manager at a rapidly growing independent firm in Central London. This role offers highly flexible working arrangements. While there will be some requirements to visit the office and meet clients, you can essentially work fully remotely for some weeks.

The role will be approximately 80% audit and 20% accounts. You will manage a portfolio of around £400k, which includes a mix of sectors such as tech, charities, and subsidiaries of foreign companies. The firm anticipates growing by 50% in the next year, providing significant opportunities for growth and progression for the successful candidate.

Audit Responsibilities

  • Audit Planning and Execution: Develop and implement audit plans, ensuring audits are conducted efficiently and in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess areas of significant business risk, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Financial Statement Audits: Lead the audit of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Team Supervision: Manage and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to management.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain regular communication with clients to discuss audit plans, findings, and recommendations.

Accounts Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Account Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of accounts to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and analysis.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all accounting practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advisory Services: Provide advisory services to clients on accounting and financial matters, helping them improve their financial management practices.

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
  • Experience managing a portfolio of audit clients in the UK
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience with accounts clients would be preferred
