About the role

This Top 20 advisory, tax, and audit firm is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join their London office. With expertise across multiple sectors, they help clients realise their ambitions through quality results delivered locally, nationally, and worldwide.

As an Audit & Accounts Manager, you will be a key member of a collaborative team, working closely with partners and directors to provide client-focused and commercially aware services. This role is crucial in managing audit and accounts assignments, overseeing trainees, and contributing to the firm's growth.

A Partner in the firm will be assigned to you to mentor you and help develop your career. You will manage a portfolio of clients with fees in excess of £500m and have the opportunity to get hands on with advisory work alongside audit.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of audit and accounts assignments

  • Plan jobs, set budgets, and ensure effective time management

  • Delegate tasks and supervise team members' progress

  • Review files and finalise submissions to HMRC and Companies House

  • Oversee and mentor trainees, supporting their development

  • Assist in practice development (including pitch preparation and presentation) and provide innovative ideas

  • Assist with audit training and supervision of staff
Requirements
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification

  • Experience managing people and portfolios (min. 40% audit)

  • Understanding of corporate tax and UK auditing standards

  • Expertise in UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102, and IFRS

  • Experience auditing Professional Services or Real Estate & Construction

  • Strong client care, attention to detail, and adaptability
