This mid-sized firm of London Accountants has an opportunity for a bright, outgoing and ambitious ACA qualified Accountant who is looking for the prospect to progress to Senior Manager and higher. The practice has a reputation for promoting suitable accountants to Partners.

Reporting directly to the Partners, the role requires a strong team leader who enjoys managing, developing and mentoring a busy team.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage a sizeable portfolio of audit and non-audit clients across a broad range of business sectors including Media, Real Estate, Publishing, Insurance, and Logistics.
  • Project manage client work and oversee all aspects of the client engagement
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, reviewing financial statements and audit files and have direct engagement with clients.
  • Assist in business advisory and outsourcing work.
  • Oversee audit planning, field work and audit reporting
  • Reviewing files prepared for you by the audit team for presentation to Partner.
  • Attend and present at client audit committee and board meeting
  • Assist directors and partners with business development opportunities including participation in scoping and pitching
  • Participate actively in recruitment and line management, and relevant team meetings

The ideal candidate:

  • Fully qualified accountant (Ideally ACA)
  • Have exposure to corporation tax.
  • Experience in adopting computer aided audit software.
  • Comfortable with managing staff
  • Experience with IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Significant experience of external audits of small and medium sized enterprises
  • Great communication skills, written & verbal
