The Role and OpportunityAre you ready to take your career to the next level? My client is looking for an ambitious, proactive Audit Manager to join their London office (hybrid working). This is a high-visibility, impactful role where you'll have the chance to work directly with senior stakeholders and lead a diverse portfolio of clients, including major corporations, family-run businesses, and industries like renewable energy, property, and pharmaceuticals.
In this role, you'll spend 70% of your time managing audits and 30% on accounts preparation, all while supervising and mentoring junior staff. You'll work closely with Partners, stay ahead of industry trends, and provide insights that help shape both client strategies and internal processes.
They are looking for a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with 5+ years of experience. If you have a passion for audit and accounts, as well as the drive to manage a diverse client base and lead a team, this is the role for you!
What You'll Do
- Lead and execute audits, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS while delivering exceptional service.
- Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Stay ahead of industry changes, sharing your knowledge with clients and internal teams.
- Look for new opportunities to add value and grow client relationships.
- Oversee corporation tax compliance and ensure high technical standards are met.
- Mentor and support audit staff, helping them reach their full potential.
Client Management
- Build and nurture strong, trusted client relationships, becoming a go-to advisor for their business needs.
Developing Self and Others
- Guide, inspire, and train audit staff, contributing to a high-performing team culture.
- Lead internal training and participate in networking and industry seminars.

Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in audit, accounting, and tax, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in managing a varied client portfolio.

- Expertise in external audits, particularly for small to medium-sized enterprises under UK GAAP.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach to client development and team management.
- Knowledge of Caseware and Alphatax (nice to have, but not essential).
