Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Business Manager for a local authority based in North London.
In this role, you will lead the business management and administrative functions that support inclusive economic growth and placemaking initiatives across the council.
Key Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day business processes to ensure smooth and effective service delivery across multiple teams.
- Provide high-level administrative and project support to senior leaders, contributing to the delivery of the Inclusive Economy Service Plan.
- ·Coordinate communication with councillors, senior officers, and external partners, ensuring strong relationships and clear reporting.
- Promote best practices in finance and project management, and support keyboards to drive alignment with corporate objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Proven experience managing business processes, systems, and administrative functions in a complex organisation.
- Experience providing strategic and operational support to senior leaders or service heads.
- Strong track record of engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including elected members and funding bodies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, monitor performance, and support programme delivery aligned with organisational goals.
What's on offer:
Salary: £409 per day
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
