A strategic, commercial Director level role with a double-digit growth, global Financial Services firm as the Lead Finance Business Partner globally for the business.

Following a hugely successful Nasdaq listing earlier in the year, the FP&A and Commercial Finance team is expanding. This newly created position will report into the Global Head of FP&A (who reports to the Group CFO) helping to build a Commercial and Strategic FP&A function.

This incredible UK headquartered business has had double-digit growth in revenue and profit for several years - and there is never a dull moment in Finance due to several acquisitions and global expansion over the last few years with every division growing by high double digits. Being extremely profitable with £200m profit before tax, the business has been heavily investing into Finance, across both people and new technology.

As the 2iC to the Global Head of FP&A, you will lead Finance Business Partnering for the business, partnering the Head of Capital Markets and the leaders of the front office trading teams, helping them understand their global trading P&Ls and influencing key senior stakeholders to drive growth and commercial understanding.

You'll business partner up to c-suite level, focusing on revenue and supporting business expansion, supporting on business cases, planning and forecasting for the Board and annual statements, supporting the Group CFO with helping to set strategy for the following years.

The business is famous for nurturing talent long term, the CEO started in Finance and several of the Finance team have been supported to move into operational COO roles. To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Qualified accountant or similar - ACA/ CIMA/CFA with several years PQE
  • Experience of Financial Services/Banking is essential with product knowledge of the commodities trading space
  • Experience in Commercial Finance and FP&A in a large company (or a Corporate Finance/M&A background working with large companies)
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders up to c-suite level
