We are seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to join our clients growing team based in Farringdon. This hybrid role combines time in our London office with home working. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, lead their own team, and collaborate closely with a partner. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a flexible approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients across various sectors, ensuring compliance requirements are met efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Exercise sound judgment on when to escalate matters for partner input.
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments based on client needs.
  • Manage client WIP and the billing process, demonstrating commercial awareness without compromising quality.
  • Plan, supervise, and review statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Review management reports, attend client meetings, and present financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide strategic business advice, adding value to clients and coordinating internally to bring in relevant technical expertise.
  • Train and develop team members through regular feedback, fostering career progression.
  • Effectively delegate tasks based on individual skills and experience.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service.
  • Proactively manage workloads across the portfolio and allocate resources efficiently within the team.
  • Contribute to departmental growth and efficiency, making meaningful input beyond individual team responsibilities.
  • Stay up to date with technical and regulatory changes, as well as industry developments.
  • Ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Actively participate in internal initiatives and build strong cross-departmental relationships.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating the needs of clients, the team, and the firm, taking proactive action where required.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, sharing information in a timely manner with the appropriate stakeholders.
