Group Chief Financial Officer

Robert Half are working with a software business that is rapidly expanding through acquisitions to recruit a strategically focused Group CFO to support further growth.

The RoleYou will manage a portfolio of businesses, ranging in industries, having strategic oversight whilst driving financial performance through leading operational excellence and supporting growth through playing a key role in M&A.

Key Duties:

Strategic/Leadership* Develop and implement strategic plans to meet divisional and company-wide goals.* Promote collaboration and alignment across the portfolio of businesses under your management.* Ensure strategies incorporate diverse perspectives and address the needs of all stakeholders, driving equitable growth in all sectors.

Operational* Manage the performance of multiple businesses, focusing on efficiency and profitability.* Introduce best practices to foster innovation and improve operational standards.

Financial* Supervise budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure financial objectives are met.* Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality, ensuring businesses are appropriately scaled and aligned with financial performance.* Oversee and track necessary investments in operational expenditures to support growth.

Stakeholder Management* Act as a key intermediary between businesses and executive leadership.* Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Process Improvement* Identify and implement operational enhancements to increase productivity through your Business Unit Leaders.

Your Profile* Previous experience of managing multiple businesses or a portfolio of companies * Strong M&A experience including meeting clients, running process, due diligence, integrating etc. * Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent * Strong financial and operational leadership background
