Harper May is excited to partner with a leading TV production company, based in Central London, in their search for a visionary Chief Financial Officer to drive their financial strategy.

The company is renowned for its creativity and excellence in TV production and is poised for significant growth. With plans to expand its workforce, the company is looking for a dynamic CFO who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business.

As CFO, you’ll take charge of both the operational and strategic aspects of the finance function. Your leadership will be key in developing and expanding the finance team, supporting M&A activities, and building relationships with key stakeholders, including investors. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you’ll be at the forefront of international expansion, growth strategies, and long-term business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a corporate strategy and annual business plan to ensure the company achieves its objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Liaise with investors and lead fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage and develop the finance team.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Board to set the strategic vision, including financial forecasting and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for the company.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Develop operating budgets and work closely with the board to ensure successful execution of the strategy.
  • Oversee all fiscal activities, including revenue, expense, and balance sheet reporting.
  • Monitor the company’s banking activities and ensure sound financial management.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly reports, financial statements, and cash flow projections.
  • Manage and monitor the company’s tax position, calculations, and filings.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified preferred.
  • Experience leading and developing finance functions within the media or TV production industry.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
