Role Overview:As CFO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy and operations. You will provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board, driving long-term growth while ensuring the company’s financial health is maintained. This position requires a seasoned leader with substantial experience in the retail sector, a strong grasp of financial operations, and a proven ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of corporate strategies and annual business plans, ensuring the company’s objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Act as a key liaison with investors, overseeing fundraising efforts and ensuring financial stability to support ongoing growth.
  • Manage and lead the finance team, ensuring the department operates efficiently and develops in line with the organisation’s strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Board to define the company’s strategic vision, including providing financial forecasting and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the expansion and diversification of the company’s operations.
  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of robust financial controls to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of the operating budget and work closely with the Board to ensure financial objectives are aligned with the company’s broader goals.
  • Manage all fiscal activities, including overseeing revenue and expense reporting, balance sheet management, and banking activities.
  • Oversee the production of financial reports, statements, and cash flow projections, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and monitor the company’s tax position, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent, with extensive experience in senior financial management roles.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing finance functions, particularly within the retail industry.
