This billion-pound, global organisation is seeking a proactive and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role you will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, contributing at board level to help steer the business through a period of positive financial growth.
The Role:This role reports directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading the finance function, with a particular focus on driving operational efficiency and improving overall financial performance.
A key part of this CFO role will be enhancing margins by streamlining operations, optimising cost structures whilst identifying opportunities for improved profitability. You will also be expected to provide detailed performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. In addition, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- proactively leading the finance team whilst fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders within the wider business
- developing and implementing strategies to support key financial objectives
- overseeing all financial operations such as financial planning, budgeting, auditing and forecasting processes
- leading the financial aspects of any mergers and acquisitions
- limiting financial risks and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements
- evaluating the overall financial performance of the business and providing recommendation for short-term and long-term growth
- developing and implementing operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
The Candidate:Ideally of graduate standard, or higher, from within a finance, accounting or related discipline, candidates for the CFO role will also be required to demonstrate that they:
- have completed a further financial qualification (i.e. ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA)
- have previous experience of working as a CFO or in a similar senior financial leadership role
- have in-depth knowledge of international financial accounting principles and reporting standards
- are able to develop and implement strategic financial plans
- have previous experience of working on a pan-European / international business basis
- have excellent communication and presentation skills
- are able to convey financial information clearly and effectively
- are highly proficient in financial software and MS Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
- have the capability to be a hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative and has a positive and professional, outlook
- have the ability to work effectively both within a team, but also under their own initiative; are used to multi-tasking and can prioritise their workload in order to meet exacting deadlines
- have the ability to be analytical, strategic and results driven, with a strong commitment to success
- have the capacity to be a strong, capable leader, with the presence to motivate and influence
Candidates for the CFO role should note that there will be both domestic and international travel with this role.
