Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts payable manager who is looking for a challenging, project based and commercially focused role.

You will look after a lovely AP team, being hands off on the day to day AP transactions but overseeing the smooth running of the whole department.

You will thrive in a fast paced environment, making sure invoices are paid in line with client terms and ensure staff expenses are accurate and justified.

You will use your commercial acumen to support the overall financial health of the whole agency.

Support in all things systems and process, championing smarter and more efficient ways of working and maximising what the finance system can do.

The role:

  • Setting up new vendors
  • Payment processing, ensuring compliance areas are met and providing commercial analysis
  • Covering staff holiday in the AP department when needed
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Accounts payable department so the wider team and financial success of the business remains on track
  • Manage, train, nurture and motivate the AP team and conduct appraisals etc
  • Review and streamline process, simplifying vendor set up
  • Resolve any vendor related queries
  • Make sure all compliance is adhered to, and challenge AP policies where appropriate
  • As part of staff onboarding, ensure new joiners are aware of staff expenses and travel policies, as well as keeping all staff updated on any changes

The person:

  • Must be experienced and seasoned in accounts payable
  • Must have experience (and enjoy) managing a team
  • Ideally from an advertising/ creative/ digital agency background etc
  • Good excel skills
  • Comfortable dealing with non finance people and the confidence to push back on strong personalities when needed
  • Experience dealing with procurement helpful
  • Inquisitive and keen to improve processes and working methods
