My client are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Commercial Finance Assistant to join their dynamic Business Finance Team at an established retail company.

As a Commercial Finance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the reporting of our company's performance and managing crucial financial data. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in finance and gain valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture, verify, and upload data to the finance reporting system on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Generate and maintain standardised business reports, including sales, margin, product group, market share, and audit & loss prevention
  • Support the preparation and posting of Store Costs cross-charging, accruals, and prepayments
  • Assist with the development of new reporting and conduct ad-hoc analysis as required
  • Collaborate with the Commercial & Reporting Manager, Commercial Analyst, and Commercial & Operations Accounting ManagerRequirements:
  • Accounting/Finance Graduate and/or CIMA (Certificate) or ACCA (Foundation) level qualified
  • At least one year's relevant experience is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Lookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables, and data manipulation
  • Good time-management and organizational skills with the ability to work within deadlines
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts to stakeholders with varying degrees of financial knowledge
  • Effective decision-making skills
