The Commercial FD will have a critical role to play in taking development to the next level. The role is one of transformation and your ability to drive company growth and change simultaneously will be important.
About the Position
This is a high-profile Commercial Finance Director (FD) opportunity. You will be a key member of the Regional Senior Leadership team and reporting to the Regional CFO. You will partner with various stakeholders across the region to provide insightful financial analysis and guidance and will be instrumental in shaping the commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership - To drive the vision and direction of the finance business partnering function, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. You will lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
- Business Partnering - Collaborating with sales and other teams across the international region to provide financial insights and support strategic decision making
- Value Creation - To develop and implement strategies that drive EBITDA growth through revenue enhancement and cost transformation initiatives
- Financial Analysis - Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and efficiency
- Performance Management - Monitor business performance against targets and provide actionable recommendations. Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
- Budgeting and Forecasting - Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain strong relationships across the business to ensure cohesive execution of company strategy
- Innovation - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency
The Successful Applicant
- For this Commercial Finance Director opportunity, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) with proven experience in a Commercial FD role, ideally within a multinational, growing organisation, where significant change and cost transformation have been at the core of your role and can be demonstrated
- Previous experience in the Tech and/or Telco industry are highly desirable, as well as working in a complex/matrix business environment
- The role requires an experienced Commercial FD who has the strength of character to challenge, whilst being able to do so in a collegiate and considered manner and with the demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve commercial issues with innovative solutions
- Proven experience in leading finance teams, including remotely and ideally internationally
- It is also important that you are comfortable leading change, capable of influencing at all levels and understand what a best-in-class commercial finance function looks like
- The role requires a strong relationship builder with personal credibility and high impact communication and presentation skills, who can work at all levels and influence wider business direction and decisions
- You must also have a good balance of strategic vision and hands on operating style
- You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills and be able to balance the need for analysis and rigour with speed for action when solving problems and assessing performance
- Flexible/ Hybrid working will be considered. A regular presence in the Southwest and or London offices and with the flexibility to travel to other key offices across Europe
