The Commercial Finance Director is responsible for working across the business with the clear objective to maximise value and profitability from core business, ancillary services and new products. Leading the Commercial finance function, the main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Driving Asset Value & Profitability: Implement strategies to maximise asset value through business planning, value-add programs, and optimising buy/sell decisions.
  • Enhancing Revenue & Sales: Develop strategies to increase core revenue streams (sales, rentals, event fees) and optimise service line profitability.
  • Fostering Commercial Partnerships: Build strategic partnerships to enhance customer offerings, drive sales, and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Leading Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support informed decision-making and business performance.
  • Championing a Commercial Culture: Drive a company-wide focus on value creation, revenue generation, and profitability across all departments.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a professional qualification (ACA, MRICS, CFA etc)
  • Have multi-site retail, hospitality, hotel, leisure or real estate background in Corporate or Commercial Finance
  • Be highly numerate, with superb Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and financial modelling skillset
  • Demonstrable experience of working with ambiguity and interpreting complex data; thinking strategically with outstanding business acumen
  • Be a personable, positive, dynamic leader who is values led, works flexibly and collaboratively to achieve deadlines
