Our client, an award-winning integrated public relations and communications agency with offices in the UK, Germany, US, and Canada, is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager for a maternity cover role. This 12-month position (plus handover) begins in January 2025, offering the chance to thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and dynamic environment while contributing to the success of a leading agency.
About the Role
As the Commercial Finance Manager, you’ll lead the Europe finance department, overseeing key functions such as fee forecasting, P&L management, month-end processes, and quarterly/annual rolling forecast submissions. You’ll work closely with the management team and play a critical role in financial operations for a large FMCG multinational client. Collaboration with the finance assistant and client account teams will ensure smooth financial processes and accurate management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial modeling and analysis with strong technical expertise.
- Ensure precision with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Meet tight deadlines with effective time management.
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with managers and decision-makers.
- Apply commercial and business acumen to financial strategies.
- Oversee budgeting processes confidently and accurately.
- Work independently while effectively leading others.
Experience Required
- A minimum of 5 years in finance, including management experience.
- Proficiency in month-end processes and rolling forecast submissions.
- Experience working with FMCG companies.
- Familiarity with PR or creative agency environments.
Working Arrangement
- Hybrid role: Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office, with flexibility for occasional swaps to Wednesdays.
- Office location: Shoreditch.
- Month-end: Last three working days of the month and the first two working days of the following month are critical, so annual leave during this time is restricted.

- Role duration: January 2025 - April 2026.
