This is a valued client of Altum Consulting who sit as a market leader in the Tech Industry. This is a key role which sits in the Commercial Finance team, which is responsible for the production, reporting, monitoring, amendments, and comparative analysis (financial, non-financial and KPI's) of all the consolidated businesses forward looking projections (forecasts, budgets, strategic plans).
The Commercial Finance Team Leader will partner with the Commercial Finance Director and Head of International to focus on the multinational area of the business.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Provide financial guidance and delivery for strategic initiatives for the multinational area of the business, working closely with the Head of International and Commercial Finance Director.
- Produce and deliver analysis and narratives to enable all the FP&A stakeholders to understand performance and key drivers etc and how these impact and are reflected within forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.
- Support the preparation, review and presentation of rolling monthly and/or quarterly reforecasts, annual budget process, and the strategic plan process.
- All of these processes will include some elements of:
- Working with the Management Accounts teams to understand the monthly and YTD reports and how these fit into the FY revisions.
- Producing, and supporting the production of, analysis and comparative reports that explain performance and performance variances.
- Comparative reporting will be against FY budgets, forecasts, prior year and strategic plans; in the instance of a growth initiative, it will be against the approved business plan.
What you'll need for this position:
- A qualified accountant with 3-5 years relevant experience of working in commercial finance.
- Multinational experience is desirable.
- Experience of delivery on multiple projects.
- Experience of directly supporting operational business executives in formulating, monitoring and managing their budgets
- Experience of compiling, managing and delivering FY forecasts, budgets and strategic plans
- Preferred experience of operating within a matrix reporting organisation
