Our client, a thriving music booking agency is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager who has experience and understanding of the live music industry.
Key responsibilities will include:
路 Managing and overseeing contracts across the agency booking process.路 Drafting, reviewing, and issuing Terms of Business to new clients.路 Summarising rights and advising team of legal obligation for client contracts.路 Overseeing, managing, and training the Contracts Assistant.路 Collaborating with the Finance Manager regarding tax management for international shows.路 Reviewing and updating contract templates annually.路 Conducting research and analysis where require for legal research.路 Ensuring continued company legal compliance.路 Overseeing insurance policies working with senior management.路 Providing legal guidance to the team and external business associates.路 Providing legal guidance for the business across areas such as Property related matters, and company policies.路 Supporting with the monitoring and development of internal systems and making recommendations of best practice.路 Maintaining a library of executed agreements.路 Developing the technical process for contract creation and storage.
Requirements:
路 Substantial experience in a contracting role within music essential.路 Sound knowledge of the live events industry and understanding of commercial/agency contracts.路 Confident negotiator.路 Able to work across complicated international and domestic contracts with a range of company sizes.路 Experience working across split contracts and international tax management is desirable.路 Meticulous attention to detail.路 Robust prioritisation skills and problem solving abilities.路 Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.路 Adaptable approach to work.路 Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Adobe.路 Team collaboration and management experience.路 Awareness of legal changes and their impact on the industry.
