Description

Corporate Banking - Relationship Manager

  • Assist the Head of Corporate Banking in the day-to-day development and management of both potential new client prospects and existing customers, aiming to achieve financial and non-financial objectives while adhering to the banks policies, procedures, regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Possess the capability to independently originate loan and guarantee transactions for Corporate Banking, including reverse solicitation transactions in Scandinavia through arranging banks.

  • Prepare credit applications and reviews for both new and existing clients, ensuring that the risk factors relevant to the industry, market, and business are properly addressed.

  • Address and resolve customer issues and requests in coordination with both internal and external support teams, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the banks products and services in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Assist the Head of Corporate Banking with the negotiation and documentation of client facilities.

  • Help manage the watchlist and impaired credits process.

  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior team members.

Profile

Financial ServicesQualifications:

  • University degree (at least UK 2:1 or equivalent) is required. A Master's degree, professional accounting certification, MRICS, or CFA qualifications are preferred

Experience:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably with European counterparties and industry sectors. Strong knowledge of UK corporate credit, trade finance, and some experience with banks/financial institutions.
  • Competencies:

Essential Skills:

  • Experienced credit analyst with a broad understanding of various industry sectors.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and market research related to the bank's portfolio.
  • A high performer who thrives in a dynamic, small team setting.
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in financial analysis and spreadsheets; financial modeling experience is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Scandinavian corporate loan market and clients.
  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian language.
