You'll be confident advising a range of businesses in varying sectors on all matters of corporate tax advice as well as overseeing the provision of accurate and timely tax compliance services. Job Purpose

  • Provide trusted advisory to a significant and diverse client portfolio
  • Manage all commercial aspects of your portfolio, ensuring all fees are issues in a timely manner
  • Assist Corporate Tax Director and Corporate Tax Manager to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met
  • Preparation of Company Tax Returns
  • Preparation of Capital Allowances repots and analysis
  • Preparation and submission of non-resident Capital Gains reports
  • Preparation of audit trails to assist with peer and managerial reviews
  • Analyse and interpret data and prepare tax advice based on findings
  • Assist with the preparation of R&D claims
  • Attend prospect meetings and working with other departments as required
  • Lead liaison with HMRC on behalf of clients, proactively handling enquiries
  • Oversee junior staff, including monitoring workflow, reviewing work, and identifying training opportunities
  • Proactively investigate and identify opportunities for the firm and clients
  • Lead by example to promote and preserve a positive team culture

Job Requirements

  • ATT / CTA qualified or with the desire to study for CTA qualified
  • Demonstrable experience in a tax supervisory role within UK practice
  • Strong track record of portfolio management experience, including all commercial aspects
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of current tax and general accounting UK regulations
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to manage own workload autonomously
  • Good time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure
  • Sound IT skills to efficiently carry out work
  • Comfortable seeking advice in order to minimise risks
