Business Tax Manager / Corporate Tax Manager - SUPERB ROLE

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top Accountancy Practice who have seen vast growth over the last three years and are looking to recruit a new Corporate Tax Manager for their growing team in London City. The position is to support one of the Tax Partners, and the role would suit a CTA Qualified (ideally) or Qualified ACA, ACCA tax specialist from Top100 or well-known Regional Accountancy practice firm, or someone in Industry looking to return to the profession. Key duties include:

  • Providing corporate tax compliance and advisory services in support of the Corporate Tax Partner to a client portfolio.
  • Maximising fee income and generating new client consultancy work from a portfolio.
  • Managing a corporate tax team of four, ensuring efficient production and quality levels are met and that staff are developed to achieve their full potential.
  • Managing the compliance cycle for a portfolio of corporate tax clients and reviewing CT600 returns.
  • Reviewing work carried out by junior team members to ensure corporate tax work is completed within timeframes and budget
  • Responding to corporate tax queries from clients and undertaking partners billing
  • Providing tax advisory services to business clients on a wide range of corporate tax matters (both domestic and international)
  • Attending client meetings and presentations, corresponding with clients and external agencies

To be considered for the role you should be ACA, ACCA or ideally CTA qualified with sound knowledge of UK corporate taxation, and an awareness of international tax issues would be a distinct advantage. The firm is happy to consider someone from a Mixed Tax background who is keen to focus on Corporate Tax, or someone in-house and looking to return to Practice. With at least 3 years post qualification experience, you should have good knowledge of all corporate tax elements (including deferred taxation & accounts disclosures) along with the ability to build strong relationships with clients. You should have a strong commercial awareness, be client focused, with staff management/coaching skills and provide support on tax advisory projects.
