Corporate Tax Manager

London (Hybrid: 3 days in-office per week)

£70,000 - £90,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Corporate Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in London. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to manage and oversee complex corporate tax matters with a specific

focus on the UK and Ireland, as well as an international tax element. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, optimising tax positions, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance and Reporting
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns for the UK and Ireland subs.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as required.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions for financial reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS.

Tax Advisory and Planning

  • Provide strategic tax advice to the business on a range of issues, including M&A, group restructuring, and cross-border transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize tax efficiency across UK, Ireland, and international operations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.

International Tax Management

  • Address international tax issues, including transfer pricing, withholding taxes, and double tax treaties.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure proper tax structuring and compliance for cross-border activities.
  • Support the business in managing permanent establishment risks and implementing tax-efficient structures.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor junior members of the tax team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Work closely with the finance, legal, and business teams to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Engage and manage external advisors for specialist tax projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical expertise in UK corporate tax, with a good understanding of Irish and international tax principles.
  • Proven experience in a tax management role, ideally within a multinational corporation or a Big Four / Top Ten firm.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide clear, actionable advice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with tax technology tools and ERP systems is a plus.
