Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Credit Control Manager to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s credit risk, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining a healthy cash flow. This position requires a proactive, analytical individual with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities for the Credit Control Manager:

  • Oversee and manage the credit control department, ensuring efficient processes and timely collections.
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk and bad debts.
  • Perform credit assessments and risk analysis for new and existing clients.
  • Monitor aged debt and take appropriate action to recover overdue payments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes and resolve payment disputes.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on debtor balances, cash flow projections, and collection performance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of credit controllers, setting performance targets and supporting their development.
  • Work closely with the finance department to reconcile accounts and support month-end closing.

Key Requirements for the Credit Control Manager:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Control Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit management and financial reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Ability to analyse financial data and develop effective credit strategies.
  • A relevant qualification (ACICM or similar) is desirable but not mandatory.
