Totum Partners is working with a leading professional services firm to recruit a Credit Control Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and guide a team of credit controllers while effectively managing the firm’s outstanding debt.

The ideal Credit Control Manager will be responsible:

  • Provide oversight and guidance to credit controllers, ensuring their work meets high standards.
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with partners across the firm.
  • Act as a supportive resource for colleagues, offering advice and reassurance when needed.
  • Establish cash collection targets, track progress, and refocus the team as required.
  • Manage a personal portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and effective debt collection.
  • Conduct regular reviews of debt collection performance with the team and CFO, making adjustments where necessary.
  • Approve solicitor referrals and strengthen the team’s understanding of compliance and key processes.

The ideal Credit Control Manager will have:

  • Previous experience in professional services and managing staff within credit control is essential.
  • A proven leader with the ability to inspire, collaborate with, and guide the credit control team effectively.
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, paired with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A solid understanding of practice management systems and their practical application.
  • A forward-thinker with the vision to identify opportunities for improvement and implement positive changes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
