Your new companyA fast-growing Insurance company within the City of London, looking for an experienced Credit Manager with an Insurance industry background. Your new roleAs a Credit Control Manager, you will play a critical role in the effective collection, settlement, and allocation of premiums, ensuring all processes align with company guidelines. You will oversee the credit control of outstanding balances, including managing aged debt, and will take accountability for the timely reconciliation of cash receipts. In this role, you'll be liaising regularly with key internal teams (Underwriting, Finance, Claims) and external stakeholders (Brokers). You'll also be responsible for managing both onshore and offshore credit control teams.What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience within the London (re)insurance market, an MGA setting is required, with a focus on credit control.
  • A solid understanding of payment terms in Lloyd's format (re)insurance contracts, particularly regarding policy cancellation due to non-payment of premiums.
  • Proven experience leading a credit control team, onshore and offshore.
  • Expertise in Bad & Aged Debt management and recovery.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manage complex data sets accurately.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
