An international trading house is looking for Credit Risk Manager.

Credit Risk Manager - Responsibilities:

  • Analyse the credit risk of current and potential customers and agree appropriate payment terms
  • Prepare and review applications to obtain approval of credit limits from Managing Director or head office in Tokyo
  • Work closely with the sales teams to ensure appropriate risk mitigants in place including trade insurance
  • Support applications for approval of transactions with risk including sales to high risk countries and large tenders
  • Administer credit limits in the company’s ERP system and monitor and report credit risk exposures to management and head office in Tokyo
  • Help to resolve any credit issues such as late payment

Credit Risk Manager - Requirements:

  • a recognised professional accounting, finance or risk management qualification; or:
  • experience in a similar credit risk management role
  • High level of numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication in English (verbal and written)
  • Business level communication in Japanese desirable but not essential
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Enjoy working in a cross-cultural environment.
