We are seeking not only a technically strong accountant but a dynamic individual who has a broader strategic understanding of how a successful finance function supports and enables delivery of the Trust vision and strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance (SDoF) and leading a team of eight staff, you will play an integral role of ensuring robust internal financial controls are maintained across the Trust. You will lead on statutory and regulatory accounting, actively monitor ESFA and DfE guidance, oversee the monthly end to end payroll process and support the SDof on the presentation of finance statements to the Board and Finance and Audit Committee.

We are seeking an individual who is a fully qualified accountant in CIMA/ACCA or ACA, is educated to degree level or equivalent, offering an excellent track record in finance with a confident understanding of overseeing finance systems. A critical requirement is a candidate who understands how finance supports schools within a trust and its outcomes.

An inspirational Manager, you will possess effective leadership skills and the gravitas to influence across the board. Seasoned in meeting objectives at a strategic level, you will also be comfortable supporting day to day, transactional duties when required.
