Our Client: A prestigious higher education institution based in London undergoing a major transformation within its finance team.The Role: You will support the Head of Financial Accounting, taking ownership  of overseeing the Financial Accounts and General Ledger functions and lead on year-end. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management.
  • Lead annual financial statements and ensure compliance with audits
  • Prepare relevant external returns, in particular OfS returns, such as TRAC, HE-BCI, and AFR.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with auditors, banks, and investment managers, and prepare related reports.
  • Prepare forecasts, manage covenants, and develop technical accounting papers.
  • Oversee month-end processes
The Successful Candidate:
  • Holds an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIPFA) 
  • Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, influence, and manage a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build strong working relationships
  • Significant post-qualification experience in financial reporting, group accounts, and audit
  • Experience in writing and presenting reports for senior management
